From Concord Rd. all they way into Marcus hook. Chichester Avenue takes you through the heart of our town. It offers homes, shopping, education, entertainment and more.
We have had many comings and goings on our main strip. Produce Junction started out of the back of a truck on a dirt lot years ago. Chelsea farm had horses being rode all over town and now people shop, eat and bank on it's property.
There is more shopping and great new places to eat like Pappa's Diner and New Orleans Cafe. But the more things change the more they stay the same. Car-Miras deli is still serving some of the best hoagies around. The Boothwyn Pharmacy has out lasted many of the others. And the CBL baseball fields should be a part of every childs youth.
I drive down this road remembering the good and the bad of its past. I live my days in it's present, watching the parades and stopping somewhere to pick up or do something everyday. I curse everytime I come to the light at Chi and Meetinghouse that there is not a left turn signal. I see children riding bikes and properties for sale and I have the highest expectations for it future.
